Black Lab Bar

Upcoming Beers

Please feel free to add suggestions using the comment field, below.

This list is by no means finite or precise, it’s more of a wish list and recommendations of brews and breweries I’d like to serve in the near future. Please let me know what you’d like to see added.

Upcoming Hard Ciders:

Upcoming Spring/Summer Beers:

  • Geary’s “Pale Ale”
  • Geary’s “Summer Ale”– not available in logs.
  • Gritty McDuff’s “Portland Head Light Pale Ale”– not available in logs.
  • Smuttynose “Farmhouse Ale”
  • Smuttynose “Really Old Brown Dog Ale”
  • Wachusett “Ryde”

Upcoming Fall/Winter Beers:

  • Gritty McDuff’s “Black Fly Stout” (Only available in 1/2 kegs)
  • Rock Art “Stump Jumper Gnarly Stout”
  • Rogue “Chocolate Stout”
  • Southern Tier “Choklat”
  • Southern Tier “Mokah”
  • Dogfish Head “Punkin”
  • Stone “Arrogant Bastard Ale”

Berkshire Brewing Company:
Once I realized I have served about half of BBC’s products I figured I should see if I can serve them all. Here’s what I have left to put on tap from BBC:

  • Russian Imperial Stout
  • Czech Style Pilsner*
  • Maibock* – We’re probably not going to be ordering this.  We tried it in a bomber – it’s simply too sweet to put on tap.  I’d rate it a D+/C- at best.
  • Rasberry Barley Wine*
  • Hefeweizen*
  • Holidale Barley*

(* = seasonal)

Some New England Breweries:

  • Berkshire Brewing Co, MA
  • Cambridge Brewing Co, MA
  • Cape Cod Beer Co, MA.
  • Cisco Brewery, MA (Nantucket)
  • Boston Beer, MA (Sam Adams)
  • Mayflower Brewing, MA
  • Mercury Brewing Company, MA. (Ipswich)
  • Wachusett Brewing Co, MA
  • Atlantic Brewing Co, ME (Bar Harbor)
  • Allagash, ME.
  • Bar Harbor Brewing Co, ME [Currently not kegging their beer]
  • Belfast Brewing Company, ME.
  • Boothbay Harbor Brewing, ME. [Just opening, 2009]
  • Geary’s, ME
  • Maine Coast Brewing Co, ME.
  • Shipyard / Casco Bay, ME.
  • Stone Coast, ME.
  • Redhook, NH
  • Smuttynose, NH.
  • Long Trail, VT
  • Magic Hat, VT
  • Otter Creek, VT
  • Rock Art Brewery, VT

Beers I want that are unavailable at Colonial.

  • Spanish Peaks “Black Dog Ale” (I found a distributor but am unsure of it’s availability)
  • North Coast Brewing “Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout” (Same story as “Black Dog Ale”)
  • Mayflower “Thanksgiving Ale”
  • Maine Coast “Oatmeal Stout”
  • Maine Coast Brewing “Bar Harbor Espresso Stout”
  • Shipyard “Longfellow Winter Ale”

Beers I want that are unavailable in MA.

FYI Tuckerman’s does not come in logs. Got that idea shot down last week.

Loving my Red Seal – and North Coast makes a couple really nice stouts – http://www.northcoastbrewing.com/beer-38.htm

And Old Rasputin will melt your brain – http://www.northcoastbrewing.com/beer-rasputin.htm

See if Tim can get you a log of Southern Tier’s Pumking. That would be epic!
